Hiya all. Happy Halloween! Gosh it’s been a while since I’ve blogged. I apologize for that, I’ve been dealing with IBS for the last 2-3 months. It seems to finally be abating and I’m so glad. I’ve eaten chicken & rice soup and gluten free toast day in and day out for, it seems, EVER. I’m so glad to be back and on our booalicious Halloween too.
I will be participating in Art Everyday November with Leah @ Creative Everyday so you’ll be seeing a lot more art from me. Mostly I’ll be working on Hahnemühle’s The Collection watercolor paper but also using Da Vinci’s acrylics on any 140-300 pound paper I can find! I can’t wait to finally be working in acrylics. I’ve wanted to split my time between my beloved watercolors and acrylics for so long, I’m glad to finally be on the mend!
Ok, so below are some of the tools I’ll be using in the next month or so. Each time I blog I’ll mention this list and link to it so anyone can use them if you’d like to b buy any of the products.
- Hahnemühle The Collection premium watercolor paper – 300gsm (cold pressed & hot pressed) BUY in the US, BUY in CANADA
- Da Vinci Watercolors 8 mL, 15 mL, 37 mL, Palettes & Sets
- Da Vinci acrylics 1oz, 4 oz, 16 oz
My fellow Canadians will notice that The Collection is FINALLY available in Canada! Holy YAY Batman. It’s been hard for new products to find a toehold since the pandemic makes stores reticent to add new stuff. It’s been a hard year so if you can, support your favorite brands. Since The Collection is a new spectacular paper from Hahnemühle, that’s a no brainer as a Christmas gift for the artist.
If you’d like to read about The Collection watercolor paper, here’s my first review of it. I have to say, now that I’ve worked with it more, it’s a damn good paper, on of the best Hahnemühle makes and one of my personal favorites. I’ll expand on my love for this cotton paper in the next few weeks.
I’ll talk to you real soon, maybe even tomorrow, lol. Watercolor and acrylics coming in fast, my friends. Later gator and…
