Sorry I’ve been absent for a while. I’m hoping you missed me a little. Lately I’ve been working in my new Nostalgie sketchbook from Hahnemühle. I’ll be doing a comprehensive review on the sketchbook later in the month but until then here’s some simple details. The sketchbook has 80 pages that are suitable for light washes, pen & ink and other dry media. It’s natural white and 190gsm. I have the A4 landscape and it also comes in A5 and A6 sizes in both portrait and landscape orientations. It’s taken pencil crayon fairly well and the colors certainly look bright. I also liquified my watercolor pencils for some of this drawing and that worked well too.
I used my Faber-Castell Albrecht Dürer watercolor pencils on this piece then either used a blender or some water to render a little more smoothness. The bucket was the hardest and took getting really bold with both the darkest colors and the cobalt turquoise to bring out the reflective qualities.
I’ll be back soon with more art. It’s a busy time. I have lots to share, I just have to get all my projects done and dusted first! Talk later gator.
P.S. A new GIVEAWAY starts tomorrow, the evening of March 9. For all you non-subscribers out there, you might want to subscribe now! I’ll be hosting some pretty huge giveaways in the coming weeks, don’t miss out. Only Subscribers can enter!
I’m hooking up to Paint Party Friday, it’s there 7th anniversary. What a wild time they’ve had hosting art meet ups. Come on over and see!
Learning: How to do fifty things at once and still eat, breath, sleep and, well you get my drift.
Anticipating: Finishing this project and sleeping a little more!
Planning: on telling you a few secrets I’ve been keeping. Heehee!
Loving: My aunt and her fun friend Bonnie who has been an immense help. Oh and my new hearing aids. THEY ROCK. I consider myself bionic, that’s not wrong is it? ;o)
